Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Campdirect. Please read them, in particular the availability and liability sections, before you use the service.

1. What Campdirect is

Campdirect provides software: a website and booking engine that campsite owners (hosts) use to publish their own property and take bookings from guests. Campdirect is a technology provider only. We are not a travel agent, a booking marketplace, a property manager, or a party to any booking. Every booking is an agreement between the guest and the host, who sets the prices, fees, rules, availability, and policies and is solely responsible for the stay.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for your account, for keeping your password private, and for the accuracy of everything you publish or submit. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You must be able to form a binding contract to use the service.

3. Payments, fees, and cancellations

Prices, taxes, fees, deposits, and cancellation terms are set by each host and shown to the guest before booking. Guest payments are made to the host through the host's connected payment provider; Campdirect does not hold guest funds and is not responsible for the host's pricing, taxes, refunds, or payouts. Refunds follow the host's cancellation policy as displayed at the time of booking. Subscription fees you pay Campdirect for the software are separate and are described at sign-up.

4. Availability, bookings, and double-bookings

Campdirect works to keep availability accurate, including safeguards against overlapping reservations. However, availability can be affected by things outside our control, including host actions, manual or offline bookings, bookings taken on other channels or calendars a host connects, connected calendars that sync late or fail, guest behavior, and network or third-party outages. Because of this:

5. Technical issues and booking completion

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, timely, or secure. Bookings, payments, confirmations, messages, and calendar syncs depend on software and third-party systems that can fail, delay, or behave unexpectedly. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Campdirect is not liable for any booking that fails to complete, is delayed, is lost, is duplicated, is not recorded, or is not confirmed, and is not liable for any downtime, data loss, sync failure, payment-provider error, or missed or delayed notification. Hosts should confirm important bookings directly with guests and keep their own records.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service. No unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; no attempts to access other accounts or data; no scraping, probing, overloading, or disrupting the platform; no use that violates the rights of guests or others.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Campdirect and its suppliers disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Campdirect will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost bookings, lost revenue, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to the service or any booking. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid Campdirect for the software in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain of these limitations, in which case they apply to the maximum extent permitted.

8. Indemnity

Hosts agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Campdirect harmless from claims arising out of their listings, bookings, stays, pricing, taxes, refunds, and their handling of any double-booking or conflicting reservation.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
