Privacy Policy

What personal data Campdirect collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell personal data.

Who this covers

Campdirect serves two kinds of people: hosts, who run a campsite and use Campdirect to publish it and take bookings, and guests, who book a stay on a host's Campdirect site. This policy covers both.

What we collect

We do not sell personal data.

How it is used

To run the service: showing a camp's website, processing booking requests, taking payments through the host's payment provider, and sending transactional email such as confirmations, booking requests, and messages. A guest's contact and booking details are shared with the host of the camp being booked, and only with that host, so they can host the stay.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, to remember an in-progress camp setup, and to understand product usage so we can improve the service. We do not use advertising trackers.

Sharing and processors

We share data with service providers who help us run Campdirect, such as hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and analytics. They process data only to provide their service to us. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of users and the service.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and data is stored with access controls. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users of any breach as required by law.

Your choices

You can update or delete your account data by contacting us. Guests can ask a host or us to remove their booking contact details after a stay, subject to legal and record-keeping requirements. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your data; contact us to exercise them.
